Artist of the Month - June Congratulations to our Artist of the Month, Jack in Year 5. Jack created a wire sculpture of a bird which he carefully covered with tissue paper and finished with mark-making. Great work, Jack! A big well done to all Year 5 and Year 6 pupils, the final 'flock' of birds is beautiful. #TGSTogether #ArtistOfTheMonth #Creativity #ArtAndCrafts #Thetford #Norfolk #ThetfordGrammar

Amber - Year 13 - Graphic Design “For my Cromer project I was asked to design a label for a fishmongers. During this project I did many sketches of crabs and lobsters in multiple different medias. I really enjoyed this as I love sketching and creating a diverse range of work. I learnt to screen print, and designed a string of bunting which could be displayed at a seafood festival in Cromer.” #TGSTogether #DigitalExhibition #30DaysOf #ArtAndDesign #Showcase #Achievement #Talent #YoungArtists #YoungDesigners #Thetford #Norfolk #Suffolk

Sophie - Year 13 - Graphic Design Branding Project Chocolate For my branding project I chose to focus on confectionery, creating a set of three chocolate bars inspired by artisanal design. The project initially involved researching techniques used by brands to convey a certain identity, for example the use of colour, language, font and materials. I was inspired by the artist Emma Dibben whose work can be seen on many of Waitrose essentials products. To create a modern looking product which also incorporated ‘the artist’s hand’ I used a combination of hand drawn items and digital illustration, bringing them together on a photoshop ‘net’ which formed the wrapping for my chocolate bars. #TGSTogether #DigitalExhibition #30DaysOf #ArtAndDesign #Showcase #Achievement #Talent #YoungArtists #YoungDesigners #Thetford #Norfolk #Suffolk
