Senior School Pupil Specific Learning Support Assistant
Thetford Grammar School is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and well organised Learning Support Assistant to join the Senior School. This role will primarily require the successful candidate to support a specific student within the Senior School to access all areas of the curriculum and to assist with their medical needs. The successful candidate will be confident when supporting a range of GCSE subjects.
The school would welcome applications from a Level 3 (or higher) qualified TA. This role could also be the ideal step in a teaching career and as such may be suitable for a GAP year or post graduate student.
This is a full-time term time only position/fixed term contract initially for 1 year with the possibility of extending.

After School Wraparound Club Leader
Job Description:
We are looking for a nurturing, enthusiastic and reliable leader who has previous experience working with children aged 3-11 to start as soon as possible.
The role would particularly suit Higher Level Teaching Assistants or Early Years Practitioners.
A Level 3 Childcare/Early Years Qualification is essential
The main roles will be:
To supervise the running of the Prep Aftercare Club, 3.45-5.30pm, Monday-Friday (term time only)
- To lead by example and set high standards, ensuring positive outcomes for all pupils attending Club
- To provide a nurturing environment for pupils to explore their interests through play and interact with peers
- To plan and devise activities to promote enjoyment and play of all pupils attending Club, taking into account their different needs
- To manage fair and acceptable behaviour in the Club, promoting respect, tolerance and social skills
- To communicate appropriately with parents and school staff; to give feedback, on incidents or accomplishments
- To set up efficient and robust routines for signing pupils in and out of Club
- To ensure the Aftercare setting is kept clean and tidy throughout the duration of the Club and ensure the club setting is left clean and tidy at the end of each day
- To be trained in Intimate Care practices, Food Hygiene and First Aid (training provided).
- To be familiar with Club risk assessments, adhere to the school’s Safeguarding and Health and Safety policies
- To inform school site managers in the event of damage to school site or equipment
- To liaise with the Head of Prep regarding outcomes of the club
- To utilise paid time when the club is quiet or with no attendees to plan and carry out administrative tasks relevant to the role
Salary dependent on experience.
