Teacher of French

We require from September 2024, or as soon as possible thereafter, a qualified Teacher of French for a full-time, permanent position. The ability and willingness to teach Prep to GCSE will be essential. We are a small all-through school, and so an enthusiasm for cultivating a love of languages in young pupils will also be required.

Applications from ECTs are as warmly welcomed as are those with more experience; a comprehensive programme of training and support will be in place for the successful applicant.

A telephone call with the Head can be arranged prior to application.

Closing date: Noon, Friday 12th April 2024

Interviews: Week commencing 29th April 2024.

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and all successful applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate for the post, including checks with any past employer and the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Host Families

We are seeking caring individuals, couples or families, to welcome international pupils into their home. Willing and able to provide a supportive environment for these pupils to live, relax and study in outside of school hours, Host Families are an integral part of school life at TGS providing a home-away-from home for our bright, polite and engaging international pupils.

As well as being part of the school's boarding network and gaining experience of working with young people, Host Families have access to safeguarding training plus a wide range of CPD-certified courses covering more than 40 education-related areas. Host Families are provided with ongoing support and opportunities to meet and discuss developments with the school's Senior Leadership Team. In addition to generous remuneration for the care provided, Host Families can benefit from cultural exchanges and the chance to establish lasting relationships with parents and pupils from outside of the UK.
