✨ A wonderful Friends of Thetford Grammar School Social Morning! ✨ We recently enjoyed a super festive Christmas calligraphy workshop with the amazing @clarewarrencalligraphy. Some of our younger pupils even popped in to see the beautiful writing and gift tags being created with the “special pens and ink” — their excitement was priceless! We are so lucky to have such a fantastic community of parents, families, and friends supporting TGS through Friends of TGS. Today we invited our 11+ scholars to Scholar’s Brunch. Pupils proudly showcased the incredible range of scholarly activities they have been involved in — both inside and outside of school. From scuba diving adventures to museum explorations, academic competitions and even the successful achievement of a grade 9 at early GCSE entry, our Scholars demonstrated an inspiring commitment to curiosity and challenge. Students brought along medals, certificates, project work and photographs of themselves in action — a true display of passion, hard work and dedication. Staff were thoroughly impressed by the variety and ambition of our scholars’ pursuits — a huge well done to everyone who took part! Our Year 6 French pupils have been mastering structures and vocabulary on the theme of “Where I live.” 🏡 They’ve been combining countries, weather, and cardinal points in a game of 'Mastermind' — testing their knowledge and teamwork along the way. 🎯 Bravo, les garçons ! 👏🇫🇷

🎉 Exciting Adventures for Years 1 and 2! 🏰🕰️ Pupils in Years 1 and 2 had an incredible experience thanks to the generous support of Thetford Educational Foundation Trust, who fully funded two unforgettable days out! ✨ Year 2 pupils explored the newly opened Castle Keep in Norwich, learned about the historical significance of Thetford Castle, and enjoyed a fascinating visit to the Ancient House Museum. The children had an amazing time discovering what life was like in the past through engaging workshops and hands-on learning. A huge thank you to everyone who made these enriching experiences possible!

🌾 Harvest Assembly Highlights 🌾 Our Harvest Assembly was a joyful celebration of community, creativity, and gratitude. Pupils across the Prep School took great pride in their performances, showcasing the enthusiasm and effort they had poured into preparing for the occasion. 🎉 The event opened with a vibrant bhangra celebration, complete with ribbons and dance, setting a lively tone for the afternoon. 🎶 This was followed by heartfelt harvest songs, including standout moments from our talented soloists whose confidence truly impressed. 📖 Thoughtful readings reminded us of the importance of thankfulness and sharing. 🎭 Year 7’s expressive physical theatre performance beautifully brought the spirit of the harvest to life. It was a colourful, uplifting event that reflected the generosity and togetherness of our school community. 👏 A huge well done to everyone involved!

🎉 Team-Building Triumph! 🌲💪 A marvellous time was had by our Year 12 and 13 students during their team-building day at Thorpe Woodlands this term.
