Year 3, 4 and 5 had a brilliant trip to the Time and Tide Museum in Great Yarmouth! After being transported back in time by a mysterious pocket watch, the children stepped into the shoes of first-class passengers, practising their promenading and learning how to set a dinner table correctly. They then became history detectives, rummaging through suitcases packed with clues to work out who the mysterious cases belonged to and what their stories might have been. To finish the adventure, the children decoded a Morse code message and discovered the shocking news that the Titanic was sinking! 🚢 A fantastic day full of history, mystery and discovery.

🚀📚 Library Adventures for Years 1 & 2! 📚🚀 Our wonderful pupils in Years 1 and 2 had a fantastic time during their monthly visit to the library! This time, they explored the wonders of space, learning all about planets and the solar system — and even designing their very own imaginative planets. 🌍✨ After enjoying a super space-themed story together, the children proudly used their library cards to choose books to borrow and take home. ✨ What a fantastic way to end the term at Thetford Grammar School! ✨ The past few weeks have been bursting with festive fun and unforgettable moments – from magical pantomime trips and lively house activities, Christmas Shows to the buzz of our Christmas Fayre and the joy of our beautiful Carol concerts. 🎭🎄🎶 It’s been a whirlwind of laughter, creativity and community spirit, making this the perfect close to a wonderful term. ✨ A wonderful Friends of Thetford Grammar School Social Morning! ✨ We recently enjoyed a super festive Christmas calligraphy workshop with the amazing @clarewarrencalligraphy. Some of our younger pupils even popped in to see the beautiful writing and gift tags being created with the “special pens and ink” — their excitement was priceless! We are so lucky to have such a fantastic community of parents, families, and friends supporting TGS through Friends of TGS.
